The best solution for our community will be a combination of clean-burning power generation, renewable energy resources and sustained conservation practices.
This is an exciting time. Today we have advanced options for technologies that can use coal, bio-solids and other potential fuels to produce power cleanly and efficiently. Renewable resources—wind in particular—hold great potential for reducing the amount of traditional fuels that we use. And throughout our community there is a growing desire to embrace conservation measures as an important part of our energy solution.
Our commitment is to explore all of the options carefully, in a way that best takes into account the needs and concerns of our community.
